When the air compressor outlet temperature is high, it can be as high as 100 °C, today I will talk to you about the impact of the adsorption dryer inlet temperature is too high;
Usually, the dryer manufacturer will indicate in the instruction manual that the intake air temperature of the adsorption dryer should not be too high, and it should generally be controlled below 40 °C. Once the inlet air temperature of the dryer is too high, it will cause the dryer sorbent to fail, affecting the dew point temperature (i.e. dryness) of the compressed air. Although the manufacturer has repeatedly emphasized that the inlet air temperature of the dryer should not be too high, there are still many users who do not pay enough attention, resulting in the inlet air temperature of the dryer being as high as 100 °C or above.
The influence of excessive inlet air temperature of the adsorption dryer machine is mainly as follows:
1. According to the adsorption characteristics of the adsorbent, the adsorption capacity is large at low temperature; The adsorption capacity is small at high temperature. Therefore, the increase in temperature will reduce the adsorption capacity of the adsorbent, and eventually lead to an increase in the outlet air dew point and outlet air dew point. Once the time is too long, the sorbent of the dryer fails because it cannot withstand high temperatures.
2. The compressed air with high temperature also contains more saturated water content. The compressed air entering the dryer is generally in a saturated state, the higher the temperature, the more water content, the load of the dryer also increases, so that the dew point of the outlet air rises.
What causes the inlet air temperature of the adsorption dryer to be too high? As we all know, the air in the atmosphere is compressed by the air compressor (by doing work) into high-temperature compressed air, usually people will install an air storage tank (pressure stabilization) after the air compressor, some people after the air tank in order to save costs, directly install the dryer at the back end of the air tank. This results in an excessive intake air temperature of the dryer. Solution: Install an air-cooled or water-cooled cooler in front of the dryer to reduce the temperature of the compressed air, and then install a filter at the rear end of the cooler to filter impurities such as liquid water, oil, solid particles and dust in the compressed air.
